Our Philosophy

We're here to help you navigate the carnivore lifestyle, not to hoard your data. We collect the bare minimum needed to make the site work and to keep the "Pro" tools running smoothly. We don't sell your personal info to third parties. Period.

Analytics & Google Signals

We use Google Analytics (GA4) with Google Signals enabled. This helps us understand how folks use the site across different devices (like starting on a phone and finishing on a laptop).

What Google sees: If you're signed into your Google account and have "Ads Personalization" turned on, Google may associate your visit with your account.

How to opt-out: You can manage your data via Google's My Activity or use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Payments & Stripe

When you upgrade to a "Pro" account, we use Stripe to handle the money stuff.

• We never see or store your full credit card number. Stripe handles all the heavy lifting and security.
• Stripe collects basic info (like your email and zip code) to prevent fraud and process your subscription.

The "Pro" Calculator & Data Storage

We believe in privacy-first tools.

Anonymous Users: If you use our standard calculator, no data is stored on our servers.

Paid Users: To make the "Pro" features work, we store your basic input data for 48 hours. This allows you to refresh the page or switch devices without losing your progress. After 48 hours, that data is automatically wiped.

Infrastructure: We use Cloudflare to keep the site fast and protected from attacks. They may see basic technical data (like your IP address) to ensure you're a human and not a bot.

AI Processing (Claude)

To provide the best insights and help build our "Wiki" content, we use Claude (by Anthropic) to process some data.

• We may use Claude to help analyze aggregate trends or format documentation.
• We do not send your sensitive payment information to AI models.

Affiliate Links & Support

To keep the lights on, we use affiliate links for products we actually use and trust, including ButcherBox, LMNT, and various Amazon resellers.

• If you click one of these links and buy something, we get a small commission at no extra cost to you.
• These partners use their own cookies to track that you came from our site. You can check their individual privacy policies on their respective websites.

The "Catch-All"

We do our best to protect your data, but no system is 100% "un-hackable." By using the site, you acknowledge that you're using these tools at your own risk. If we ever change how we handle data, we'll update this page and (if you're a subscriber) send you a quick heads-up.
